Helli, everyone！
スクールで育てていた夏野菜が順々に収穫されていく中、K１クラスのズッキーニは小さな実がなるもののそこから大きくなることはありませんでした。
今週末に終業式を迎えるにあたり、先生達はプランターを前にうまく育たなかったズッキーニについてお話をしてくれました。子ども達もちょっぴり残念そうです。
でもこれを期に、一生懸命育てても色んな理由でちゃんと育たないこともあること、だからこそ作物を作ってくださっている人やそれを美味しく料理してくれる人に感謝し無駄にせず食べないといけないことを学ぶ機会となってくれれば、と思います。

As the summer vegetables we had been growing at school were gradually harvested, the zucchini in the K1 class planted small fruits but did not grow any larger. As we approach the end-of-term ceremony this weekend, the class teachers spoke to the children about the zucchini that didn’t grow properly in the planter. The children seemed a little disappointed. However, I hope this serves as an opportunity for them to learn that even when we put in a lot of effort, things don’t always grow properly for some reasons. This should also teach them to appreciate those who grow crops and those who cook them deliciously, and to make sure not to waste food.
