About the Malaysia Study Abroad Program

A

It is planned every year, though the format changes. The timing and content vary — some years for elementary students only, others as parent-and-child programs — but in principle it is held every year.

A

Children can experience authentic English overseas. They gain a firsthand feel for overseas lifestyles and values, as well as how lessons are conducted abroad.

A

It is to test how far the English learned at our school carries in an overseas environment. By encountering speeds and expressions different from the everyday, children build the confidence to take on English.

A

Children can take on studying abroad within a curriculum and program built on the network of Hamagakuen and Hamakids. By actually using the English they learned at the overseas school, helps to broaden the scope of their knowledge.

A

So far, 23 children have joined the Malaysia study abroad program. They build experience using English while getting a taste of overseas life and lessons.
