Hello, everyone!　はまキッズインターナショナルスクールは小さな園です。各学年にクラスは1つずつ、それぞれ15名程度をネイティブ講師と日本人保育士が担当しています。そのためスクールでは異年齢交流を盛んに行なっています。今日は朝のお外遊びの時に年長のお兄さんがボールとフラフープを組み合わせた新しい遊びを教えてくれたようですよ。実は同じ日の午後、年少クラスのお友達の屋外活動時に、朝教えてもらった遊びをみんなで再現していました。朝の交流がとても楽しかったのでしょうね。小さなお友達はお兄さんお姉さんに憧れ、大きな子ども達は小さなお友達を気遣いながら一緒に成長していきます。

Hamakids International School is a small school where each grade has just one class of about 15 children, guided by both native English-speaking teachers and qualified Japanese nursery teachers. Because of this cozy size, the school places a strong emphasis on cross-age interactions. During morning outdoor play today, an older child shared a creative new game combining a ball and a hula hoop. That very afternoon, during K1 outdoor time, the duckling friends recreated the exact game they had learned at morning outdoor time. They must have had a wonderful time in the morning! Younger children look up to the older ones, while older children learn to care for the little ones, and they all grow together.
