Sorting animals

Sorting animals

Hello, everyone! Whare does this animal go?”

This month’s theme is “Animals, Habits, and Habitats.” Our theme-based activity gives children a wonderful opportunity to dive deep into the topic through a variety of hands-on activities, including games, outdoor learning, and group projects. The K3 classroom floor was covered in various animal cards! Mr. Daniel explained the rules of the activity to the children. Did you know that animals can be divided into different groups? Today, the students learned how to distinguish between these groups and figure out which animal belongs where. Before rushing off to gather the animal cards, the children first learned key sorting categories, such as “animals that lay eggs,” “animals whose breathing methods change as they grow,” and “animals that give birth to live babies.” During the activity, some children were seen collaborating and asking each other, “Where does this animal go?” Everyone worked wonderfully as a team—I wonder if they managed to successfully sort every single animal card!
