Hello, everyone! 9月になりました。今月の学習テーマは子ども達が大好きなもののひとつ、生き物です。学年に応じてさまざまな種類の生き物の習性や生息地について学んでいきますよ。Panda classでは、水の中で暮らす生き物に焦点を当てて、生き物の名前だけでなく住んでいるところ(海水か淡水化か）や、どのような分類か（哺乳類か両生類か）等についても先生が楽しく紹介してくれています。今日はクラフトの時間にワニのグループ製作をしましたよ。子ども達は緑色の画用紙をノリで丸い形にしたものをワニの体に貼り付けていきます。すると立体的で強そうなワニができあがりました。ワニはウロコが固い爬虫類です。肺で呼吸し、卵を産んで育てるといったこともあわせて学びました。水辺には、他にもたくさん興味深い生き物がいます。これから1か月、楽しく学びましょう。

September has arrived. Our learning theme for this month is one of the children’s absolute favorites: “Animals, Habits and Habitats”. Depending on their grade, the children will explore the habits and habitats of various types of animals. In the Panda class, they are focusing on creatures that live in the water. The teachers are introducing them in a fun way, teaching not only the names of the animals but also where they live (saltwater or freshwater) and how they are classified (mammals, amphibians, etc.). Today, during craft time, they made a group project of a crocodile. The children glued green construction paper rolled into circles onto the crocodile’s body. As a result, a powerful, 3D crocodile was created. The children also learned that crocodiles are reptiles with hard scales, breathe with lungs, and lay eggs and raise their babies. There are many other interesting creatures that live by the water. Let’s have a wonderful month of fun learning ahead!
