Hello, everyone! 今年も梅雨を前に子ども達がお野菜の苗を植えましたよ。学年によって種類が異なりますがどれも夏が旬のお野菜です。これから毎日の水やりや間引き、支柱立てなどお世話をしながら収穫の日を待ちます。どんなお野菜ができるかな？うまくいかなくっても、それも学び！農家の方々のご苦労を知る良い機会となります。暑い夏がちょっぴり待ち遠しくなりますね。

Just before the rainy season begins, the children planted vegetable seedlings. The varieties differ depending on the grade, but they are all vegetables that are in season during the summer. From now on, children will be looking after them by watering them daily, thinning them out and putting up poles, whilst we wait for the day of the harvest. we wonder what sort of vegetables we’ll get? Even if things don’t go perfectly, that’s part of the learning process! It’s a great opportunity to gain an appreciation of the hard work farmers put in. It makes us look forward to the hot summer just a little bit more.
