Japanese white raddish

Hello, everyone! 秋にK3クラスのみんなが植えた大根が、冬休みを超えていよいよ収穫の時を迎えました。立派な葉っぱの下にはどんな大きな大根が埋まっているのか、子ども達の期待が高まります。グループに分かれ順番に引っこ抜くと、大小いろいろな形の大根が顔を出しました。収穫した大根は次の日の給食メニューで提供されました。もちろん葉っぱもお味噌汁の中に入れて食べましたよ。自分たちで採ったお野菜の味は格別ですね!
The Japanese white radishes planted by the K3 class in autumn finally reached harvest time after winter break. The children’s excitement grew as they wondered what huge radishes lay buried beneath the lush leaves. Divided into groups, the children took turns pulling them up, revealing radishes of all sizes and shapes. The harvested radishes were served in the next day’s school lunch menu. Of course, the leaves were also added to the miso soup and eaten. The taste of vegetables they harvested themselves was truly special!
