今月のアドバンスクラス　イングリッシュイベントは京都にある国際マンガミュージアムへの遠足を行いました。こちらは小学校だった建物にたくさんの漫画があり、中には英語をはじめとした外国語に翻訳されたものも読み放題なんですよ。そのためか来館者の半数以上は外国から来られた旅行者でした。昼食後外国語で書かれた漫画のブースについた子ども達は、思い思いに漫画を手にとりました。よく知っている漫画が英語で書かれているのが面白いのか、子ども達はお互いに選んだ漫画を紹介しながらページをめくっていました。This month’s Advanced Class English event was a field trip to the International Manga Museum in Kyoto. The building used to be an elementary school, and there are many comic books, some of which have been translated into English and other foreign languages, available for unlimited reading. This may be why more than half of the visitors were tourists from abroad. After lunch, the children went to the booth called ‘Manga Expo’ where were many comics translated into foreign languages and picked up a comic book of their choice. Perhaps amused by the fact that a comic book they were familiar with was written in English, the children flipped through the pages while introducing their chosen one to each other.
