Hello, everyone!

年中クラス、年長クラスでは週に1回日本文化に触れる時間があります。クラスではフラッシュカードを使って日本語での色々な表現練習したり、季節の歌を歌います。今日は年中クラスで七月に関連することを紹介しましたよ。子ども達の口からも夏に関する言葉がたくさん出てきました。生活の大半を英語で過ごしているインターナショナルスクールでは、一般的な保育園で行われている活動を触れる機会はあまり多くありません。だからこそ『回数は少ないけれど知ってる/やったことがある』ことを増やしていきながら小学校進学に向けた準備をしていきます。

There is a Japanese lesson per week in K2 and K3 classes. In class, we use flashcards to practice various expressions and sing seasonal songs in Japanese. Today, we introduced topics related to July in Panda class. The children also mentioned many words related to summer. At international schools where most of daily life is conducted in English, there are not many opportunities to experience activities typically conducted at regular nurseries in Japan. Therefore, we aim to increase the number of things they know or have experienced, even if the frequency is low, as part of preparation for elementary school enrollment.
