Hello, everyone!

6月の小学生アドバンスクラスのイングリッシュイベントは、関西万博への遠足でした。バルト館では専属のガイドさんがつき、展示物の説明を丁寧にしてくださいました。帰り際には子ども達一人一人に素敵なプレゼントも！館長さんからは「子ども達にラトビアという国を知ってもらう機会になり嬉しい」という有り難いお言葉をいただきました。ランチ後はコモンズ館へ。たくさんの国々のブースを回りながらスタンプ集めにいそしんだ子ども達でした。今回英語でガイドを受け言葉を交わす機会を持てたことは子ども達が世界に目を向けるいい機会になったと思います。

The June English event for the Advanced class was a field trip to the Kansai Expo. At the Baltic Pavilion, a dedicated guide provided detailed explanations of the exhibits in English. At the end of the visit, each child received a gift! The director kindly remarked, “It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about Latvia.”

After lunch, we visited the Commons Pavilions. The children eagerly collected stamps while exploring booths from various countries. Having the opportunity to communicate in English with the guides was a valuable experience that helped the children broaden their horizons and look toward the world.
