Hello, everyone!
5月の連休明けに植えたお野菜がグングン育っています。そんな中一足お先に収穫をしたのがK3 Elephant classのみんなです。Elephantさんはオクラを植えました。みんなでオクラのお花を観察した後、ハサミを使って収穫しました。みなさんはオクラが上に向かって実をつけるのを知っていましたか？オクラのヘタとガクの部分が茎の付け根から成長してピンと尻尾が立っているように成長するのです。とっても面白いですね。
収穫したオクラはお味噌汁に入れてもらって食べました。ちょっぴり苦味が苦手な子もいましたがおいしくいただくことができました。
The vegetables planted after holidays in May are growing well. The Elephant class planted okra and they decided to pick them up today. After observing the okra flowers together, they harvested the okra using scissors.
Did you know that okra fruits grow upwards? The okra grows from the base of the stem, and they look like s tails standing up. It is very interesting, isn’t it?
They ate the harvested okra in miso soup. Some of the children did not like the slightly bitter taste, but they enjoyed it.
