Hello, everyone!

スクール今朝は大雨でしたね。いつもは朝からお外で元気いっぱい遊べるところが今日は多目的ホールで過ごすことになりました。ホールにあるおもちゃのひとつにKAPLAという木の板があります。一見ただの小さな板に見えますが、子ども達のアイデア次第でいろいろな物が作れるとっても面白い知育玩具なのです！

その玩具を3つほど先生が床に置いてみたところ、子ども達が次々とそれを繋げていきました。板のパーツが長〜く延びていけばいくほど参加するお友達も増えていき、最後はお部屋いっぱいに道が広がっていきました。ちょっとした振動でもドミノのように倒れてしまうため、移動の時はみんなとっても慎重です。大きなお友達は小さなクラスのお友達に声をかけながらみんなで協力して大作を作り上げることができました。スクール全体のチームワークを見ることができました。

It was raining heavily this morning. Although we can normally play outside in the morning with lots of energy, today we had to stay in the hall. One of the toys in the hall is a wooden board called KAPLA. It looks like just small pieces of wood, but it is a very interesting educational toy that can be used to make various things depending on the children’s ideas!

The teacher placed three pieces of KAPLA on the floor, and the children connected them one after another. The longer the pieces of the board were connected, the more friends joined in, and by the end, the paths were spreading all over the hall. The children were very careful when moving, as even the slightest vibration could cause them to fall over like dominoes. The big friends were able to cooperate with their smaller classmates while talking to them to create a great work of art. It was a wonderful opportunity to see the teamwork of the whole school.
