今日は月に1回行っている避難訓練を実施しました。今日の訓練は洪水になった際の垂直避難の方法について訓練しました。
キンダークラスのお友達が1つ目の活動を終える頃、突然園内にサイレンが鳴りました。よく遊びに行く公園の横を流れている川が氾濫し、水が園舎に迫ってきたということで、1階にいるPuppyクラスのお友達が2階へ避難を始めました。その間にキンダークラスのみんなは一つのお部屋に固まりました。毎月さまざまな避難訓練を行っていることもあり、子ども達の避難はとっても迅速です。今日も無事に安全な場所まで逃げることができました。Mina先生が園舎近くのハザードマップを見せながら洪水になったら避難が必要なことを説明してくれました。初めてハザードマップを見た子もいて、興味深そうに色分けされた地図を見ていました。
Today we held our monthly evacuation drill. Today’s drill was on how to evacuate vertically in case of a flood.
Just as the Kinder class students were finishing the first activity in the morning, the flood alert started to beep in the school! The river next to the park where we often go to play was flooding, and the water was approaching our building. The Puppy class friends on the first floor started to evacuate to the second floor. In the meantime, all the Kinder classmates were gathered in K1 room. The children are very quick to evacuate, as they have been practicing various evacuation drills every month. Ms. Mina showed the children a hazard map of the area near the school and explained to them that they would need to evacuate in case of a flood. It was the first time for some of the children to see the hazard map, and they looked at the color-coded map with great interest.
