Winter school Day 5

Today was the final day of our Winter School.
To celebrate the coming New Year, the children worked on a special craft — making kadomatsu (traditional New Year decorations).
They cut and rolled paper, shaped tubes, and tried many different techniques, using their fingers carefully while thinking, “How can I make it look like a real one?” The room was filled with focused faces and excited voices as they worked.
Piece by piece, they created the shapes of bamboo and pine, then added their own decorations to complete a one-of-a-kind kadomatsu. When their work was finished, many children proudly held up their creations, saying “Look!” with big smiles on their faces.
We hope you will display their beautiful kadomatsu at home and enjoy welcoming the New Year together as a family.
